Alice lives her dream life with her family above the Megalo, a traditional stage theatre turned cinema. When the weekend rolls around, there's always a new blockbuster showing, and Alice gets to mind the threatre with her brother to make sure everything runs smoothly. However, Alice has a secret. Inside the projector is the movie world, alive with her favourite characters and stories, each with problems of their own that she and her best bud Lester must solve. Meanwhile, the resentful stage Actor Drumblin will do whatever it takes to run the family business to the ground and make a deal to claim the stage theatre as his own once more.
